Looking forward in just over a month to my sweet baby’s 5th birthday. But before a milestone he’s been looking forward to for quite some time (and lying about having reached to a point that by some time in July I started actually telling people he was 5 because, conditioning) a little look back to […]
Sunday before Labor Day I had hoped to take Angel to the Zoo, but when the weather forecast was 96° I decided against it. The Hogle Zoo is rather hilly and means pushing a stroller because, you know, at least one of us can be comfortable. But that forecast was way off. It was overcast […]
Kevin completed his undergrad back in December. June 1st he had his ceremony. Brunch with the graduates would not have been so nice in December in Utah . We saw Robert Redford receive an honorary doctorate. His speech put Angel right to sleep, note the difference in hair from the pictures above […]
Our Easter egg hunt started out wonderfully- well, if you’re me anyway. It was just Angel + Mom & Dad, and as soon as Angel had found exactly two eggs he triumphantly returned to me and declared that we should eat them. Obviously this wasn’t so awesome for Daddy Dear ; ) You can’t […]
On Sunday morning I sneaked around the house to protect precious little time alone. I’m awesome at this time-alone/echo-time thing: I showered and did some server correcting before … washing up a load of dishes, making myself breakfast (the rare chances I have to eat any food without being asked for any, asked to make someone […]
Yay for Change! Echoia Photography has become EchoStenger.com- why? Well, obviously because I can rarely make up my mind about a darn thing ; ) Also because I have been wanting to blog more often, and I didn’t really feel comfortable writing photo-free entries on a photography blog. And maybe I am not dusting my […]
Some preschool lessons for Angel. We used Valentine’s Day candy (obviously) to sort by color and count, then we did some addition (‘how do you turn the Hershey’s Kiss in that corner and the Hershey’s Kiss in that corner into two Hershey’s kisses?’ his solution? put them together, of course!). I’ve been looking forward to […]
EchoStenger.com began in early 2013 as a side project of Echoia.com. Namely, Echoia Photography. Wanting to expand to include more varied content, it seemed only appropriate to change the site's title.
It currently is an outlet for many of my interests and passions. I share my work in and write tutorials for Adobe Illustrator, review products (mostly purchased by me), experiment with my Silhouette Cameo machine (hashtag vector in flesh!), share my day-to-day and still post photographs on a regular basis.
Thank you for visiting and coming along with me as I grow and seek out beauty in everything.
I am a Christian mom, girlfriend, dog-mom, cat-mom and pseudo step-mom. I take up hobbies faster than I can put them back down. I am from Texas, but currently reside in Utah.
I. Love. Air conditioning.
Fiona Apple.
Angel : My seraph son. I’ll likely speak of nothing and no one so much. Born October 2009. He likes the color orange blue and almost anything Marvel.
Veda : Black. Lab-like. Born Summer 2008. A life changer. Full name and title: Princess Darth Veda Jane Sultanfuss Stenger. Usually just Veda/Veda Jane when she’s bad. Also ‘Monster’. In your way? Just say, 'Scoot, Veda.'
Trinity : Rescued from the pound about 9 weeks of age, Summer 2009. I call her ‘Wiggle Bottoms’, 'Dummy' (lovingly, of course) or ‘Little Bit’. Big time cuddler.
Li : Dog cat. Scarier than both the dogs put together.
