When I saw this little bear and box, I knew I wanted to make a little something special for a little someone special.
What I didn’t know then was that Russel Stover Marshmallow chocolates would become one of my favorite candies. I don’t consider myself a marshmallow fan- I mean, on their own, they’re pretty unremarkable. I’m not a Peeps fan, either. Then again, I guess I have been known to eat every Charm in a box of Lucky Charms ; )
With some Lollipop Sticks*, a couple different candies, a tiny bear that smells like chocolate, the box (which has a Velcro closure!), tissue paper and tape I was able to offer something that made a small person’s day.
I would replace the Palmer with a higher-quality chocolate if I made it again, however. I was unfamiliar with the brand so I decided to give it a shot, but it’s definitely on my no-no list now. If you like it, that’s fine, but I can’t honestly recommend it.
I arranged the hearts into a clover pattern, glued the sticks to the backs of the ‘clovers’, then used a lot of tape to hold them together while the glue dried. Hot glue would probably work better, but I didn’t have it on hand. Just make sure you don’t get glue into the chocolate.
It’s so beary cute <3
